요약Miguel Del Aguila's Miami Flute Suite is a work for flute and piano that contains and evokes themes and styles from various Latin American countries. Elements such as Brazilian choro, 1940s Latin jazz and tango, as well as the Uruguayan dance milonga, make this work a fusion of styles and cultures. This doctoral lecture recital research essay is a study that incorporates an in-depth musical analysis of the work, cultural analysis of the Latin American styles within Del Aguila's Suite, and interview responses from the composer. The goal of this document is to promote the growth and accessibility of culturally diverse repertoire through the implementation of scholarly analysis of Del Aguila's Miami Flute Suite.
