요약A new performing edition of Carissimi's oratorio Jonas, on the Biblical story of Jonah and the Whale. The edition was prepared from three primary manuscript sources, and is presented in a full set of scores and parts, including a piano-vocal score with a continuo realization for piano in historically-informed style. A new translation is also included, as is a discussion of the editorial method, a review of extant editions, and a brief history of the composer and the genre.
